We specialize in personalized yachting experiences, customizing each itinerary to match your vision. Our Yacht (Delayed Gratification)
We proudly operate a beautiful 54’ Cruisers Yachts in the Fort Lauderdale area, meticulously maintained by her owners and made available for charter through My Yacht Experience. Designed for comfort and performance, she’s perfect for everything from relaxing day cruises to extended adventures — whether south to the Keys, north to the Palm Beaches, or across to the stunning islands of the Bahamas.
We’d love to help you plan an unforgettable experience with friends and family, creating memories that last a lifetime.
Accomodations
Deferred Gratification comfortably hosts up to six guests, with inviting seating areas on the bow, in the aft cockpit, and inside the spacious, air-conditioned salon and galley. For overnight adventures, she offers three private cabins, with one reserved for crew. to ensure attentive service
Boat Operator Training
From smaller boats to larger yachts, our training is designed to be enjoyable, confidence-building, and hands-on. We believe the best way to learn is by doing, so students spend the majority of the time at the helm while we coach right beside them. With patience, positive encouragement, and a no-judgment approach, we focus on helping you gain real confidence through repetition and experience — because nothing builds skill faster than practice.
Our instructors are licensed captains with extensive experience operating a wide range of vessels and providing practical, hands-on instruction. Every session begins with understanding your experience level, goals, and objectives so we can tailor the training to your needs. Whether that means extra time on docking, maneuvering, or navigation, our goal is to ensure you leave with greater confidence and the skills to operate safely on your own.

Basic Small Boat Handling skills
One 4 Hr Session
Our Basic Boat Handling Skills Course is designed for new boaters operating vessels typically 23 feet or less who want to learn the fundamentals of safe, confident operation. We focus on essential skills such as steering, throttle control, docking, maneuvering in tight spaces, and basic navigation — all through hands-on practice at the helm.
With guidance from experienced, licensed instructor, you’ll spend most of your time driving the boat while we coach alongside you, helping you build the confidence and skills needed to operate independently.
advanced medium size Boat Handling skills
Two 4Hr Sessions
Our Advanced Boat Handling Course is designed for owners of 24’–35’ twin-engine vessels who are ready to build on their foundational skills and gain confidence in more complex situations. This hands-on session focuses on twin-engine maneuvering, precision docking, and real-world scenarios such as backing into slips, sandbar or beach approaches, rafting with other boats, securing to mooring buoys, and safely entering and exiting inlets.
We also cover additional vessel systems and advanced GPS use, including creating routes and waypoints, along with how to integrate autopilot functions when equipped. As with all our training, you’ll spend the majority of the time at the helm while we coach alongside you, helping you develop the confidence to operate independently.
Large boat and yacht owner skill course
Large Boat and Yacht Owner Skills Course Multi-day sessions (Customizable)
Our Large Boat & Yacht Owner Skills Course is designed for skippers moving up to larger vessels with more complex systems and different handling characteristics. Building on prior experience or our Basic and Advanced courses, this training focuses on close-quarters maneuvering, precision docking, and the skills needed to operate a larger yacht safely and confidently.
Each session is customized to your experience level and vessel, ensuring you gain practical, real-world confidence at the helm. For owners who already have strong foundational skills, we tailor the training to prepare you specifically for your new boat.
Many insurance providers also require training and sign-off from a licensed captain before allowing owners to operate independently. We can provide this evaluation and documentation once the required competency is demonstrated.
